The most crucial point: Absolutely do not put your memory foam pillow core in the washing machine!
Although you might want to save time, the structure of a memory foam pillow is very special; it's composed of dense, tiny air bubbles. The violent agitation of the washing machine and the strong pulling force during spinning will tear the inside of the pillow core like tearing bread. Furthermore, memory foam absorbs water like a sponge and becomes extremely heavy, making it impossible for the machine to dry it completely. Ultimately, the pillow will not only deform but may also be ruined due to internal mold growth.
While the "pillow core" cannot be machine washed, you can safely clean your memory foam pillow using the following steps:

■ Correct Cleaning Steps
1. Remove and machine wash the outer pillowcase
Most memory foam pillows come with a zippered cover. This cover can be put in the washing machine.
Method: Remove the cover and wash it like regular clothing. This is the most effective way to remove sweat stains, dead skin cells, and odors.
2. "Vacuum" the pillow core
If you think there is dust or dead skin cells in the pillow, you don't need to use water.
Method: Use your household vacuum cleaner with a flat nozzle or small brush attachment to vacuum the surface of the memory foam pillow several times. This will remove most allergens without damaging the material.
3. "Spot clean" stains
If the pillow core accidentally gets coffee or other stains on it, do not soak the entire pillow in water.
Method: Use a clean cloth dampened with a little warm water (with a drop of mild detergent or laundry liquid) and gently rub the stained area in a circular motion.
Note: After cleaning, use a dry towel to absorb as much moisture as possible.
4. Use "baking soda" to remove odors
If the pillow has an oily smell after prolonged use, you can remove the odor using a dry cleaning method.
Method: Sprinkle a layer of baking soda evenly on the surface of the memory foam pillow and let it sit for one or two hours. The baking soda will absorb the moisture and odors, and then you can vacuum up the powder.
5. Dry thoroughly (avoid direct sunlight)
If you used water during cleaning, make sure it is completely dry. Instructions: Place the pillow in a well-ventilated, cool place to air dry naturally.
Caution: Memory foam pillows are very sensitive to heat. Do not use a hairdryer to blow hot air on them, and do not expose them to direct sunlight. Otherwise, the memory foam will become brittle, crumble, and even lose its elasticity.
